3. Avril Lavigne – Let Go

It was 2003 and this album was already out in the open for a whole year. That summer, instead of dating chicks, six idiots decided to throw a LAN party a have a geekgasm. One of us volunteered to be a host so we brought our old computers, made our parents drive us there.

We basically lived at that friend’s garage for a week. It was freakishly hot summer and we played every game that we could’ve come up back then. There was only one issue – our host felt entitled to be party’s DJ as he was also hosting the event. Cue this magnificent album for 7 days straight, be it night or day.

It was love, it was hate and it was everything in between for a whole damn week. Playing Counter Strike never felt so weird. Yelling “Youuu SUCKER!!!” while slaying your best friend in DotA never felt so real as while listening to “Complicated”. I must admit I listened to that album many, many times after that. I am still not sure how I feel about that. Was the album good or was I just brainwashed? In any case, let’s not mention it again.
